Warren Station at Keystone is in pursuit of an epic new year with Trout Steak Revival, “Colorado’s Next Great Bluegrass Band” according to Denver Westword. We think you will agree. The band is back by popular demand, and has been hot on the scene since winning the best band competition at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2014. Add lots of snow and a rocking crowd; the Mountains have never sounded so good on New Year’s Eve! Free party favors while supplies last. Welcome 2019!
Meadow Mountain- Meadow Mountain, who hail from Denver, have lyrics dripping with Colorado geography, and their harmonizing was up to match with any of the headliners” — 303 Magazine (at the 2017 Telluride Band Competition) Meadow Mountain is on the forefront of a musical movement in Colorado. It is a movement born from a desire to understand one’s roots – to understand why one makes the music that they make. This band is comprised of 5 best friends, who, with their feet placed firmly on Rocky Mountain soil, look attentively towards the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rich tradition of Bluegrass music there. They explore traditions of Swedish fiddle music, Acoustic Jazz, Old-time, and Classical, and their original music is steeped in heartbreak and mountain breezes. You will hear intricately arranged, soaring instrumentals. You will hear hard-driving, traditional Bluegrass music. Most importantly, however, you will hear five best friends play a music that is much larger than the sum of its parts.”
Trout Steak Revival- Ever since winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, Trout Steak Revival has quickly become a quintessential Colorado band. The band won an Emmy Award for a soundtrack they contributed to for Rocky Mountain PBS. They collaborate with school children in mentoring programs in Denver and Steamboat Springs. Their music is featured on Bank of Colorado’s radio and television advertisements. Most recently, Westword named them Denver’s Best Bluegrass Band, and they were nominated as a Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.
