Troy Walker (July 5th)– Troy Walker has quickly become one of Denver’s most sought-after comedians! A regular at Comedy Works, Walker has won the Comedy Works “New Faces” contest twice. After making his network TV debut on The Late Late Show, Troy has steadily racked up credits including VICE’s Flophouse and playing the role of “Don Lemon” on Fusion TV’s Trump vs. Bernie. He can be seen later this year on Fuse’s Uproarious. Troy was also just featured in a PetSmart commercial directed by Christopher Guest and starring Jane Lynch.
Walker has had the pleasure of opening for some of the most prominent comedians in the country. In addition to headlining clubs and colleges across the nation, Troy serves as a fine ambassador of Denver comedy at national and local comedy festivals including The Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, The Great American Comedy Festival, and Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival. He was also selected as one the Just for Laughs Montreal’s prestigious “New Faces.”
After witnessing Troy’s storytelling abilities and commanding presence on-stage it should come as no surprise that he’s also a licensed attorney who graduated from University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.
Bryan Kellen (August 9th)- Rubber-bodied and dynamically engaging, Bryan Kellen is an energetic comedic powerhouse. His combination of storytelling, observational humor, and physical comedy produces one of the most universally captivating shows in comedy. Just two short years after his first time on stage, Bryan’s career began to take off when he won the Rocky Mountain Laff-Off in Salt Lake City besting a field of well-established headline comedians. Shortly thereafter, Bryan was named by ‘Entertainment Business Journal’ as one of the “Top 100 Comedians in the Country” and The National Comedy Hall of Fame named Bryan as “America’s Best Up-and-Coming Comedian” at the Last Vegas Comedy Festival. Bryan’s stock continued to rise as he began headlining top comedy clubs across the country and he made numerous television appearances including MTV, NBC, Fox Sports, CNN, Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and Lopez Tonight. His clean, high-energy, animated style has made him a huge hit at corporate shows and fundraising events nationwide. Currently Bryan can be seen performing to sold-out crowds in theatres and arenas across the country as the regular tour opener for George Lopez.
Damian Griffin (July 5th)- Dry, dark, confused, twisted and goofy describe a terrible foul tasting wine. So don’t order that one. It also describes Damian Griffin’s humor as he takes a look at life through broken rose tinted glasses. Damian’s clean-cut pharmaceutical salesman image quickly erodes as he takes the audience through his look at life’s absurdities from car accident etiquette to raising children “poorly.” Damian is a veteran Improv comic and an up-and-comer on Denver’s comedy scene. He has had the privilege of opening for terrific comics Jake Johannsen, Kathleen Madigan, Robert Schimmel, John Heffron, Chelsea Handler and more. Damian also appears to be the perfect entertainer for children’s parties! But he’s not.
J. Marc (August 9th)- A regular at Denver’s famous Comedy Works, J Marc delivers a high energy style of comedy filled with stories of his experiences growing up the suburbs, his family, and his not so everyday perspective on life
His influences include everyone from Dick Gregory to Bob Newhart and Andy Griffth to Richard Pryor. His resume includes movie and television appearances as well as working with The Temptations, Weird Al Yankovic, Kevin Pollack, Charlie Murphy and Dave Chappelle. J Marc’s fresh and funny peek into his life are sure to provide you with good old fashion belly laughter.
